Nurture a reader- grow a thinker
1000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN
The first few years of a child’s life are critical brain development years, and healthy exposure to a number and variety of books (plus your interaction and attention reading to him or her) will give your child’s brain a HUGE BOOST, not only for school, but for his/her ENTIRE LIFETIME!
Language-rich environments develop learning pathways, thinking/problem solving skills and important communication/interaction skills. This includes talking, singing, & reading to your child regularly.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten is a free library program that encourages you to spend time reading books with your child during these critical brain development years. Earn badges and prizes along the way. Registration is easy!
